C
&A:

Opus ½ was recorded off the “Camel Caravan” radio broadcast that originated from the Orpheum Theater in St. Paul on the September evening before the memorable jam session across the river in Minneapolis.  It’s a rare item which can only been heard on an Italian LP released forty years ago.

No Charlie Christian solos here but there’s a load of chords with a bent inner note (♭3) making their first appearance on this tune, in his intro and on the bass solo – precursors to those double-stops forthcoming in November, on Shivers, South of the Border, and AC/DC Current.
